Own a Piece of Kentucky Broadcasting History! A rare opportunity awaits with the sale of WRVK Radio Station, an established broadcasting business owned by Saylor Broadcasting, Inc. since 2002. This turnkey offering includes approximately 7.3 acres, the broadcast tower, studio facilities, operating equipment, and the FCC license (subject to FCC approval), providing everything needed to continue operating one of Kentucky's longstanding hometown radio stations. WRVK's roots trace back to the golden age of country music broadcasting. During the 1940s and 1950s, broadcasts from WHAS Radio and the CBS Radio Network originated from nearby Renfro Valley. When those broadcasts concluded, John Lair and Tom Hargis transformed the existing studio into WRVK, launching the station in 1957 to serve Rockcastle County and surrounding areas. Under Saylor Broadcasting's ownership, the station has maintained its country format and its longtime motto, "Your Homefolks Station!" Located just minutes from I-75, the property serves as both the broadcasting studio and transmitter site. The station currently operates as a 1200-watt AM and 250-watt FM facility. WRVK offers a rare combination of real estate, an established business, broadcasting infrastructure, and nearly 70 years of Kentucky broadcasting history. Transfer of the FCC license is subject to approval by the FCC.
